The Alliance for Audited Media offers assurance solutions to retail media networks and ad technology platforms that want to provide transparent, standardized measurement and reporting to their brands, agencies or retailer partners.
AAM’s Retail Media Certification provides third-party, independent assurance that demonstrates applicable measurement guidelines are implemented correctly and consistently across networks, products or platforms.
AAM is uniquely positioned to help companies apply industry standards and achieve certification. We are a recognized audit partner to IAB, IAB Tech Lab, IAB Europe, the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG), EDAA and others.
Here are four quick steps to becoming certified.
Step 1: Assess Your System
Start by reviewing the basic measurement guidelines for IAB U.S. or IAB Europe. Does your system already adhere to these guidelines or will they need to be implemented? AAM can help determine which elements align with your platform’s capabilities, products or services.
Step 2: Engage With AAM
Set up time to meet with AAM’s team. We’ll help with a system assessment, provide an overview of the certification process and discuss how certification can benefit your retail media business.
Step 3: Become Certified
The certification process includes:
- Onboarding: Kickoff call to discuss scope, documentation requirements and applicable guidelines.
- Collaboration: Share documentation records including access to policies and procedures. Your management and subject matter experts will also participate in interviews as well as demonstrate your system’s processes and controls.
- Review & Testing: AAM reviews your documentation and conducts substantive testing.
- Certification & Reporting: AAM delivers a certification opinion including a comprehensive management report with recommendations, if needed. You will also receive an AAM seal to support marketing and credibility.
Step 4: Promote Your AAM Retail Media Certification
Once certified, your organization can showcase its commitment to transparency and alignment to industry standards. Certified companies receive a listing on AAM’s Assurance List, and AAM can help announce your achievement with press releases, social posts and other marketing materials to partners and clients.
