AAM Board Agrees to Digital Magazine Change; Welcomes Three New Directors

AAM’s board of directors met on July 17-18 to review the company’s latest initiatives. One action was taken regarding magazine digital issues, and three new board members were announced.

 

Double opt in eliminated for verified magazine digital issues

Rule F 17.2 Digital Issue Subscriptions and Single-Issue Sales used to require consumers to opt in and acknowledge a confirmation email for digital issues to count as verified circulation. The board determined the double opt-in process is no longer necessary. Effective immediately, verified magazine digital issues and subscriptions require only a single opt in.

 

Three new directors announced

AAM’s board also welcomed three new directors:

As CEO of Novus Media, Melony Rios has been a transformative force, advancing the agency’s shift from a print-centered organization to a multimedia powerhouse. Her efforts have attracted top industry talent and clients like Dollar Tree, Thrivent Financial and Valvoline Instant Oil Change Service Centers. Under Rios’ helm, Novus won the prestigious Ad Age Agency of the Year Award in 2022 for innovative multimedia work.

Lindsay Horrigan is responsible for leveraging data and insights to drive growth across Hearst Magazines’ consumer revenue streams and customer functions, including subscriptions, commerce, licensing, marketing and membership operations. Prior to joining Hearst, Horrigan held marketing leadership positions at Wayfair, Bloomberg Media and American Express.

 

Glenn Roginski, PfizerGlenn Roginski, Director, Integrated Media Strategy, Pfizer, representing Alternative Delivery Advertisers

Glenn Roginski has deep subject matter expertise in all facets of traditional and digital media, including a long history managing Point-of-Care media campaigns. For the past several years he has overseen DTC, HCP and retail media for Pfizer’s vaccine brands. In addition to Pfizer, Roginski held media or marketing positions with Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, Omnicom and WPP. In 2021 he was inducted into the Xpectives Health DTC Hall of Fame for his contributions to the field of pharmaceutical marketing.

 

Annual business meeting and director elections

AAM’s annual business meeting has been set for Thursday, October 10, with presentations from AAM’s new CEO Rich Murphy and Board Chairman Chris Black. A review of AAM’s 2024 performance and the results of director elections will be announced. Save your seat for this event.
